Isla Blanca is a beautiful and secluded beach located near Cancun. It’s a popular spot for tourists seeking a peaceful and tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beach is known for its crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and stunning sunsets on the lagoon side. That’s where we headed on the evening of May 29 on motorcycles.

We agreed to meet at the beginning of the Cancun hotel zone at a place called Punta Nizuc. This is the point where the Nichupte Lagoon meets the Caribbean coast of Mexico. Here, under the bridge, Mexicans like to relax, fish, and swim.

Next, we rode 30 km on motorcycles through the entire luxurious hotel zone of Cancun. We parked at one of the most beautiful city beaches, Playa Delfines, where there is a breathtaking view from a hill of the Mexican Caribbean coast.

Afterward, we stopped in the port town of Puerto Juarez, where the Ultramar passenger ferries depart for Isla Mujeres. We grabbed a can of Coca-Cola each and sat on the beach, leaning against a washed-up fishing boat.

For those interested in history and culture, visiting the El Meco pyramid is an option. The archaeological site is located near the coast and features a collection of artifacts and exhibits that showcase the rich history and traditions of the Maya. Visitors can learn about the Mayan civilization, their customs, and lifestyle.

In my opinion, one of the best ways to get to Isla Blanca is on a motorcycle. Riding along winding roads and scenic routes is an adventure in itself. And at the end of the route, you’re greeted by a stunning sunset on the Mexican Caribbean coast during your stay in Cancun.

Total motorcycle mileage: 120 km
